Confessions of a Slug
Okay, here goes: I did yoga, once, last week.
And that’s the extent of my physical exercise. I feel like a slug! Although I’m very tempted to curl up and take a nap next to my cat, I’ve decided to try to be a little more proactive about this. Originally, my plan was to do yoga every other day, and run with my husband on the other days. Perhaps this was too ambitious… So I’m going to scale it back a little, and slowly increase the amount I exercise.
So here’s the plan: Tomorrow I will do a hip-hop dance DVD after work. It’s been a looong time since I’ve done it, but I remember it was so much fun that I hardly noticed when I was dripping with sweat and totally out of breath. The next two days after that are freebies because I’ll be working late and on my feet all day. Friday I’ll do yoga. This Sunday I’m going to do a little hiking with some friends!
I’m not trying to lose weight; I just want to maintain. And I really want to improve my cardiovascular health. Let’s see if I stick to this week’s goals better!
