‘Good Day’ to You, 2012

After nearly a month of no new postings, I’m back! I last wrote about how Christmas would be different this year because of  the impending arrival of my newborn son, and three days after I posted that–voila! A man-child was born unto me. The reason why I haven’t written anything recently should be pretty clear.

With that said, my husband and I spent New Year’s Eve reflecting on the good and the bad that happened in our lives during 2012, looking at photos while our little one slept. Most notably, perhaps because it occurred most recently, my pregnancy and labor and delivery were a representative mix of good and bad. After we finished looking at images of those events, we sighed and happily bid 2012 adieu, while looking forward to all the happy changes that 2013 will bring.

Events from December have created enough fodder for me to write about throughout the year–and I can’t wait to get started. But until the next posting, I’d like to wish you a happy new year and introduce you to the new man in my life…Kai.
